BOQUETE (PANAMÁ)
Boquete is a town at around 3500 feet above sea level. Volcán Barú is nearby, click here to see pics from there.
First, a picture of Boquete from the south (with the town in the valley surrounded by mountains)...
Stream that runs through Boquete (mostly dry at this time of year)...
Mountains in the distance (viewed from Boquete) covered by clouds and fog...
Volcán Barú in the distance (not covered by clouds and fog at this moment)...
A nearby cliff with sedimentary rock in a strange pattern...
There were a lot of coral trees (Erythrina sp., known locally as the pito) in bloom around Boquete...
All of the above pictures on this page were taken in February 2011 by Brandt Maxwell.
