ZANZIBAR (PART I, URBAN)
Zanzibar is an island about 30 miles off the east coast of Tanzania. It is a part of Tanzania, even though it is semi-autonomous. Note the Arab influence on the island as the Sultanate of Oman controlled the island for nearly 200 years. The island is about 95% Sunni Muslim (versus a little less than half the people in Mainland Tanzania).
These are the pics from Stone Town, the main city in Zanzibar. For the rural Zanzibar pics, go here.
