Here are pictures from Yerevan, Armenia, primarily in the outer part of the city (especially the higher elevations). Go to Part I for pictures near the city center.

Here is the view of Yerevan from Mother Armenia, up a steep hill. Note Mt. Ararat in the background...

Mother Armenia...

Some old military rockets and tanks as a mini-museum in the park at Mother Armenia...

View of Mother Armenia from behind where there's a regular neighborhood...

Here the rather ordinary 50th Anniversary of Soviet Armenia Movement Monument...

There are a huge amount of traffic police stopping motorists in Armenia, including on the street behind the Soviet monument...

Common native Armenian trees along the same street, the white poplar and the oriental plane tree...

A pair of odd-looking residential buildings!

Nearby is this neighborhood...

There happened to be a mansion a few blocks away...

Here is a very common vehicle in Armenia, a Lada 4x4 (from Russia)...

Even further out was a small botanical garden...

Parts of the garden have wooded areas, despite the dry climate...

One last picture of a neighborhood (back near the Soviet monument)...
