FIVE U.S. STATES (AND THE ONLY FIVE) THAT HAVE NO NATIVE CACTI
Only five states in the U.S. have no native cacti (even states like
Minnesota, Wisconsin and Massachusetts have native prickly pear
cacti (Opuntia). Oddly, our most tropical state has no
native cacti (due to its botanical isolation), though cacti have
been planted (and have naturalized).

2. Hawaii
3. Maine
4. New Hampshire
5. Vermont
