Soccer is huge in Latin America and Europe. Most Asian countries have never made played a single game in the World Cup tournament* (and thus Asia has 8 of the top 10 countries in this list) since the first games in 1930. East Africa is the second least-represented area in the World Cup (though quite a few countries in other parts of Africa, especially in recent years, have been in the World Cup).
