The United States (as of December 2008) had 316 million Internet hosts. Amazingly, 13 independent countries had fewer than 10 each (with no hosts in Palau). These countries are remote, poor and/or war-torn. Only independent nations are listed (note that Saint Pierre and Miquelon is on the list (with zero hosts), but that is an island territory of only 7000 people).
