POPULARITY OF VARIOUS FIRST NAMES IN DIFFERENT STATES
While some first names are relatively evenly distributed around the United States, such as John, David, Mary or Linda (though states with a lot of (non-Anglo) ethnic divesity, like California, New York or Hawaii rank lower with all those names), some names are unevenly distributed around the country. Here are some of those names...

The first name is Maria, most common in the Southwest and Northeast, where there are a variety of ethnic groups (various Hispanic, Italian, etc.) which use that name.
