Here are the countries with the lowest percentage of their population living in urban areas (hence, most people live in the country or in small towns). While most of these countries are poor, there are a few exceptions. Liechtenstein is one of the richest countries in the world, yet it consists of mostly small towns. Trinidad and Tobago is the other exception, with a per capita income a little above the global average (and a surprisingly cosmopolitan capital city) but yet a lot of people who live in rural areas.
The global average is 49%, and 4 countries (Monaco, Nauru, Singapore and Vatican City) are considered to be 100% urban.
